A TRUE ARTIST KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES

Welcome to that corner of the room where if you are a shy and modest artist you can be among others like you.

Independence

Independence marked by bursts of flames across the sky...they say we have our freedom on this 4th of July. Do we have freedom in a world where everything is nothing and nothing is something? Drop another bomb to silence the mouth of the enemy and drown the faceless hunger and famish of a country third to a power which is super in only the eyes of a narcissist. Follow a lie from leadership that conspires to capitalize on wealth while sacrificing the people it fails to protect. Wake up and use the sparkles in your hands to make change!

Private Jet

The Jet is on standby... my pilot awaits my command.
Should I give the greenlight or should I change my plan.
It's just a matter of priority...and where my heart wants to be.
They say home is where the heart is, but right now I disagree.
Tonight I will fly standby into the sunset, but looking for the sun to rise!

Welcome to my corner!

All of us, from the time of birth jump on this roller coaster ride called "Life". The majority of us remain on this ride until the end, however, some don't. As we leave the gate and slowly proceed, we are conditioned and prepared for what's to come. Little boys and girls taught to be cautious from the time they are old enough to wear diapers are programed for the first leg of this ride. While continuing up this steep incline, innocence is lost. Now comes school and separation from home which brings on a whole new independence. It is during this time that the ride becomes bumpy. The restraints on this ride become too loose or too tight forcing the passenger on this ride to adjust their physical and emotional characteristics. The first peak reveals itself and we cruise swiftly down into puberty leaving childhood behind. As the wind blows through our hair so does insecurity and an overwhelming need to be accepted. Around the first curve comes temptation and most close their eyes to the fright that will one day define who they are. Some will face the danger with their heads up and eyes open. All will scream for the world to hear who they are. Suddenly there is an unexpected drop and mixed emotions interact with responsibility as the air of adulthood hits your face. During this leg of the ride, many check out. Some fall asleep, some retreat, and some give into defeat. All of us experience this ride but it is how we ride that matters. I sit in my corner and experience this ride with the passion of a survivor through the ups and downs. Riding my coaster until it stops never looking back but looking forward to the power that propels me. Entertainment allows me to escape from the roller coaster through dreams and words played or sang in a musical note, but always through the art of the artist within me. Find the artist in you and take a little time to sit in the corner....TJAZZT

What's Going On

Well it's been another week of uplifting antics and stories in my life. Tonight I've picked the one that truly touched my heart to share with you.
The other day I was so frustrated by people and their lack of respect. While I stood in line to purchase some items a man plowed into me. He didn't say excuse me he just kept on going. This happened early in the morning and I was still too sleepy to say anything. As I was sitting in my car about to drive off this same man had not only parked next to me, but had the nerve to hit my car while opening his car door. I immediately rolled my window down to see if he would acknowledge what he had done and again he made no effort to appologize. Now I was irritated! I was hotter than fish grease as a matter of fact so it was time to give this man a piece of my mind. Do you know that as I got out of the car this man collapsed right in front of me. Needless to say all emotion was put aside and right into life saving mode I went. Turns out this gentleman suffered a minor stroke for the past few hours. We were able to call help and they were able to expedite him to the hospital. Now here comes the cool part. Today when I walked into this same store one of the managers flagged me down. He gave me an envelope and inside was a beautiful Thank you card that said Thank You and....I appologize! I was just like WOW! Human nature is strong but love is stronger so don't be so quick to get mad...TJAZZT

So, I have decided to make my blog a platform for not only HAPPINESS but INSPIRATION. Much of what I intend to write will be uplifting. There is so much misery in the world. Drama, sadness and negativity seems to desensitize humanity. As an entertainer, it is so easy to be completely cut off from the world in a down to earth kind of way. There is so much to contend with. For instance who can you trust and are you setting a good example by keeping and staying true to yourself. From time to time, I will give an update on my journey as an entertainer, but for the most part you will see writings by me that will be positive and meant to encourage...
ENJOY!

Give Me The Night

Give Me The Night
Under a microscope our bodies are watched by a full moon that winks it's eye.
Intertwined by waves of energy and defined by light years to come.
Hold on to the darkness as it whisks us away.
Give me the night at the dawn of the day.

Me...

Since this is my first official blog, it is hard to know what to write about, nevertheless, here goes. Entertainers' Corner is a place where I can come to explore my creative side without the harsh criticism I may experience from being in the public eye. When I am on stage or in public it is very easy to forget about the inspiration that drives my career. Once I close my eyes after a hectic day of dealing with everyday life it's nice to close my eyes and reflect with my pad and pen what has inspired me. Like the backdrop of a musical note my pen writes the lyrics of what is to become. Since I am spending my last few months here in the states, it will be hard to blog about the many events coming up but I will try. This week I am catching up on my private life which is consumed by school and my pursuit of medicine. I plan to catch up on my fellow classmates blogs and issue out some focus on my priorities.
