Well it's been another week of uplifting antics and stories in my life. Tonight I've picked the one that truly touched my heart to share with you.
The other day I was so frustrated by people and their lack of respect. While I stood in line to purchase some items a man plowed into me. He didn't say excuse me he just kept on going. This happened early in the morning and I was still too sleepy to say anything. As I was sitting in my car about to drive off this same man had not only parked next to me, but had the nerve to hit my car while opening his car door. I immediately rolled my window down to see if he would acknowledge what he had done and again he made no effort to appologize. Now I was irritated! I was hotter than fish grease as a matter of fact so it was time to give this man a piece of my mind. Do you know that as I got out of the car this man collapsed right in front of me. Needless to say all emotion was put aside and right into life saving mode I went. Turns out this gentleman suffered a minor stroke for the past few hours. We were able to call help and they were able to expedite him to the hospital. Now here comes the cool part. Today when I walked into this same store one of the managers flagged me down. He gave me an envelope and inside was a beautiful Thank you card that said Thank You and....I appologize! I was just like WOW! Human nature is strong but love is stronger so don't be so quick to get mad...TJAZZT
It's always nice to get the better side of human nature, especially when it is so easy to forget in our busy lives. Getting angry can be really easy - I totally understand that part.
ReplyDeleteMy dad collapsed at a store when he had a stroke, and I was very grateful to those who helped him out. That was really great of you!
wow, I'm so glad you shared this story because I think all of us become very frustrated about the world we live in and how some people treat us. We forget that often of persons seemingly rudeness might not be rudeness at all, indeed it may not even be projected towards us, but there may be extenuating circumstances–such as this one. This is such a wonderful story that you shared and I'm really glad you shared it with us all. Now if we all can take this lesson to heart, that would be an excellent thing.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I work in a food court at a Costco and it seems that everyone forgets their manners when it comes to their food. Its always "give me this" and "give me that." People also complain about the size of our products and say that they are too small. Really? Small does not exist at Costco.
ReplyDeleteHowever, those thoughts are easily erased when their is a customer that comes up with a smile and says please and thank you. One good/polite customer can change my mind so easily, which is why I always try to mind my manners when I'm eating out.
this is a really cool story and like you I experience the rudeness of people everyday, but I do not have a cool story to tell like you. I have to deal with small clients everyday and most of them are happy to talk while the others seem to be a little more than frustrated. I am all about doing good deeds for people, but its hard to show respect when some people are not willing to give it to you. It was great to read this story thought its not everyday you can be able to say an inspiring story such as this.
